What’s Going On With Me
by david on Oct.26, 2009, under Church, Life, Uncategorized, Work
It has been a long time since I have updated my blog.
I have been spending a lot of time with school work, Apple, and Disc Golf. Life has been busy.
I am so excited about what is going on in my life though. I have been working at my church in the media department, as well as with the Middle School youth group. It has been a great experience getting back to my roots in ministry.
God has taught me so much this year.
I looked at my devotional journal the other day and saw there have only been about 95 entries total since I started regular devotions back in March.
Satan immediately tried to get me down about this but I was reminded that this is 95 more times than last year, and the year before that. God is still working on and with me, and we are making great progress!
I know I haven’t arrived by any means, I have so much farther to go, but I have come so far from where I was even this time last year!
It is so good to know that God never lets go, He never gives up on the prodigals that run away. Luke 15 has been such an encouraging chapter as it really describes my Spiritual life over the last few years.
God’s love is so great that He always lifts us back up when we fall down, what more could we ever ask for?!

Do Not Forsake the Church
by david on Jul.09, 2009, under Church, Common Sense, Life

How often do we as Christians forsake Christ’s church? The assembly of ourselves together?
The Bible says that a strand of three cords is not easily broken, so why do we often try to go at life alone instead of being with fellow believers?
Do not forsake the church, love it, embrace it, make it a huge part of your life. We are the church, it’s not a building, it is the people of Christ. Together, we can change the world with the love that Christ so freely gives us. This has never been more important than in the times we live now!
So Christians let us band together to take the world by storm! Do not forsake the church! Let’s grow it!
Dutch Gay Group is Ruining Christmas!
by david on Dec.08, 2008, under Common Sense, News
A Dutch gay group is starting what they call, “Pink Christmas” which features two Mary’s and two Joseph’s. This is an absolute disgrace as it attacks the very core of Christmas which is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
They say their intent was not to offend but that is all they are doing. Not only does this attack Christmas which, though many try to deny it, is a Christian Holiday, but it attacks marriage as well. Shameful..

On California Prop. 8, and Gay Marriage, and the Constitution

Last night I was involved in a heated debate on a talk radio show about Proposition 8 which was voted on last Tuesday in the state of California.
For those of you not familiar with Prop. 8, it provided for the following:
ELIMINATES RIGHT OF SAME–SEX COUPLES TO MARRY. INITIATIVE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT.
- Changes the California Constitution to eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry in California.
- Provides that only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.
The vote then passed in the state which has caused an uproar across the Gay Community and the Liberal circles.
It is claimed that the thought of taking away the right to marry from the Gay community is taking away their rights. However, I would beg to differ.
The very definition of marriage as defined by the dictionary, is the union of one man and one woman.
Marriage is a sacred gift from God and should be instituted only by the church in the first place. Last night on the talk show debate the host then proposed to me that if marriage should only be run by the church, then the Government should no longer recognize it because of its duty to Separation of Church and State. Let me remind you, that no where in the Constitution is this separation talked about.
The next argument that the Gay and Liberal communities argue is that if gays are not allowed to marry we take away their rights to benefits. This I agree with, there should be provisions set in place by the government for these couples to receive benefits, but it should not be under the blanket of marriage.
I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this subject, please leave comments!
