President Bush Part 1: How Will History View George W. Bush?
Eight years have past and the charge of President George W. Bush are coming to an end. Some see this end as a triumphant victory, while others see it as a tremendous loss, then there are those that simply do not care.
But how will history portray this president? The approval ratings are lower than ever, people cannot wait to see him go, but what will we be saying in 20, 30, 40 years? How will we see George W. Bush?
Over the next few days I plan to look into various facets of the “W” presidency. It is my belief that history will prove that George W. Bush was a great president, and one that led our nation through its darkest hours.
I believe the world will see President Bush as loving, caring, intelligent, and full of wisdom. Is this to say that he has never messed up? Of course not, everyone messes up. However, given the circumstances of the times, he made decisions that he believed he had to make for the betterment of the country, and the country, and the world, are better for it.
This series will look at several aspects of the presidency:
- Campaign 2000 Bush vs. Gore the Recounts
- First Years and 9/11
- Going Into Iraq
- The capture of Saddam Hussein and the Continued Search for Bin Laden
- The Second Term
- The End of an Era, Saying Goodbye
I hope this will be a series that everyone can enjoy, feel free to leave comments, send emails, or call the blog line along the way.
